MAX KONGの今回のテーマは水である。水は地球を抱き、人を抱き、生きとし生けるものの命の源として支える。MAXの描く水は赤道直下の強い陽光に耀き照り強いエネルギーを発して眩い。それは海に囲まれた平坦な水源のない島国シンガポールに生きる者として単なる印象を超えてラディカルな表現としてある。 島田 誠
